So sad to hear the news that " Good old Norman " had passed away. He was so well liked and respected as a friend and work colleague. We spent many years at ECMWF working together in happy times. No matter what the situation threw up at him, he would always work at it with a smile and a funny comment. ECMWF lost a good man when he retired, and people like him cannot be replaced.. All our thought go out to his family....

My deepest condolences for your loss. Norman was a nice, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful man. Worked with Norman for 12 years in collaboration at ECMWF. This period except for work business, we exchanged views and had fun during our coffee breaks which I found very interesting. I really enjoyed being his colleague and friend! Rest in peace Norman!
